Load cell selection basis

Load cells are an important part of electronic weighing devices. Choosing the right load cell can make the electronic scale work its best. So, what is the basis for the specific choice?

First, accuracy

Accuracy is always the user's most concern. In the current market, it is unanimously stated that the imported weighing sensors are better than domestic ones, and the expensive ones are better than the lower ones. Of course, this argument still has some factual basis. However, when selecting, the accuracy requirement only needs to meet the input requirements of the instrument and the requirements of the overall scale.

Second, the range

The load cell has a certain range, so be sure to select the appropriate range. Under normal circumstances, the weight of the material should be between 30% and 70% of the sensor range. In this range, the weighing result is the most accurate. However, if there is a large impact during the weighing process, the sensor range is optimally between 20% and 30%.

Third, the use of the environment

Different use environments have different requirements for load cells. For example, in the coal mine, the load cell must choose the type of explosion-proof. Others, such as large electromagnetic environment, rain, snow, strong winds, and strong corrosive environments, have certain requirements for load cells.

The above are just a few of the more common choices. When selecting an electronic scale, the load cell is only one part of it. Except for the range and the use environment, other factors are rarely considered separately.
